After 5 months of wearing a temporary bridge. I still can not chew on this covered molar because of pain. No pain other when I chew. Regular dentist sending me to a specialist because he says I may need root canal.Trouble is, specialist only uses local anesthetic. Will his anesthetic methods be better than regular dentist? Despite all numbing efforts, I had great pain while he prepared this molar for temporary bridge.I hope I can chew on it again after root canal, (assuming he does one) I see him Thursday.Help!
Endontonic specialist may have to do root canal.?
You will be fine. Let the endodontic know that you dont numb that easy and he/she will give ya alittle more than usual. Endodontics specialize only in the truly tooth troubling fields so have faith. You will be able to chew without that tooth hurting.
Reply:The endodontist will try to numb you as best he can. Please let them know that you have trouble getting numb! If this tooth is on the bottom, it is very common for it to take a bit more to get it numb. Good luck!
Reply:Be cool , everything will be alright once they find out the problem and fix it.
Reply:See if u hav pain during chewing and need a root canal, first of all throw the notion THAT IT WILL PAIN out of ur brain.this is a very effective method.Dont think about the pain.instead think of something pleasing.Dont panic if there is slight discomfort.it will go away. Also in some people anaesthesia takes alonger time to effect. Also if u smoke than stop a few days before the treatment.Smokers take longer with anaesthesia.Plus if there is infection at the site it will take longer. So give time to ur dentist to resolve the matter.
