Okay I have been having trouble with my gums / teeth for the last couple of days ...! They have been really irrated and have a itchy sensation ..it hurts a little bit but not that much ! Its on one side of my mouth and it was swallon the other day but it went down.... I don't have a dentist and i don't know what to do ....Can i go to my local emergency room if i still can't find a dentist by tomorrow (Friday) Will they help me with whats going on .will they treat me ...what do you think it is ?? I have Mass Health ! Thanks so much ~ Please answer ~








Also: Do you think i might have Gingivitis or gum disease ! Please answer ..i mean i don't know how i could have it i brush every day and use mouth wash ...what do you think ..can i get rid of givgivitis on my own ?? Please answer all questions thank you so much !~

Sounds like an infection or an allergy. Are you eating anything new? How long does the sensation last?





You can go to the emergency room for both of these, but that can be very expensive. You can call your family doctor or whoever you normally see.





To treat the infection, aside from a medicine, you should try to use a Listerine mouthwash. Or swish with warm water and salt.





For the pain, try acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin).

Reply:Have you been flossing? Can you call 1 800 Dentist? I think emergency rooms are for when one cannot breath or is bleeding to death-not for a dental problem. So keep calling tomorrow and/or show up at an office or call the dental society and ask for advice. Best wishes for quick recovery
Reply:Sounds like you could have an abcess under your gum. Gingervitis would envolve all of the gum, not just one area. Yes, a local ER can help you for the time being, by at least giving you antibiotics and pain killers,if needed.
