How to get help paying for surgery?

My brother has been going back and forth to the dentist trying to get his teeth pulled. The dentist told him that there was too much infection and if she pulled the teeth then he would die because the infection would spread through out his whole body. They gave him some antibiotics twice trying to get rid of the infection, but the didn't help. He went back to the dentist today and they set up an appointment with him at the local teaching hospital. They wanted him tio get surgery as soon as possible. They said that if he didn't do then he would live much longer. The hospital there sending them to will help you with your bills, but they said that he would have to pay 30% of the total cost for the surgery up frount. He dosen't have the money. He dosen't have insurance and is currently unemployed. He dosen't qualify for Medicaid, because he's not a pregnant woman. Me and my family don't have the money either. Most of my family lives in poverty and has children. We have no ideal what to do.

How to get help paying for surgery?
Ask them about setting up a payment plan.
Reply:Local charity orgs, church group or ask the hospital financial office for suggestions
Reply:Start a web site that asks for "hand outs". No lie people do it, and it works.
Reply:I would think that if his situation is life or death that there would be some kind of government/state agency that would help. The Department of Economic Security (where I live) has programs for this type of situation. I'm sure they do through out the US. Have your brother ask the hospital staff for referrals for financial help. They should be able to give some sort of direction. Good luck!
Reply:Unfortunately that's how the health care system is up up in America.

Dental Care is a huge problem and there does not seems to be a solution in the horizon.

I would suggest you forward this question to your state Representative and ask for a solution.

Health/Dental Care is a good reason to stay in school, and get a good education. Educate yourself so you do not have to suffer through the same hardship as the rest of your family.
Reply:call and ask if they would be willing to take monthly payments. they may be willing to work with him because of the severity of the situation. would he have ANY money he could bring to put down? maybe even 5 percent?
Reply:well if you someone inthe family has a job for at least 6 months, (im nottrying to sound degrading either) but go to ge money.com try to apply for credit for your brother online u get instant results. it works like acredit card but for health I got that i pay 102.00 pm but payments started 90 days after my procedure. Wow your family seems very tight helping e other out like that.
