Had local anaesthetic at dentists this am and feel weird?
This can be normal after anesthesia administration, especially if it had some epinephrine in the anesthetic. Just take it easy and relax and it should wear off in no time. If it hasn't worn off after about 8 hours or so then maybe call your dentist and check to see if it's normal because it can also depend on the anesthetic used. Good luck.
Reply:I get it. Luckily I have an understand dentist, he lets me take my time getting up. I feel like I'm near passing out, and I have to go home and sleep. Most people think its because of a phobia of needles, but for me it isn't - I don't have this problem with other needles. One thing I found that helps is having a glucose drink before the anaesthetic - ask your dentist about this next time. I've never known anyone else to suffer from this, but my dentist did have another few patients. He said it is unusual, but nothing to worry about. Usually takes me 12-24 hours to feel better, depending where the injection was. Hope you feel better soon - just have an easy day today, an excuse to put your feet up!
Reply:See your doctor
Reply:it'll wear off in a few hours.
Reply:some people dont cope very well with general anaesthetic i assume local can be the same. if i were you i would see how tomorow is because it should be out your system then.
Reply:Yes. I get this everytime. I try to make sure i dont drive after and stay with someone....
Reply:Anaesthetic does take time to wear out and takes 24hrs to completly be out off your body, its normal so dont worry about it.Just be careful what you are doing, try not to drive and operate machinery.
