It depends on how deep the teeth are in your jaw. If the dentist suggests using sedation, they're obviously more IMPACTED in the jaw, than if he/she doesn't use sedation.

I had all 4 out in the chair by an oral surgeon. I was lightly sedated, remember everything, it was OK...a bit sore afterwards but make sure they give you pain relief to take home.

Local anaesthetic is fine if they give it properly. I had 16 injections in the mouth when I had mine out, to be honest, I don't remember this as the worst part. The worst part was being at home afterwards...an ice pack on the side of the face will be good.

There are worse things than having wisdom teeth removed, but I understand if you're a bit anxious about it.

Reply:When I had 2 of my wisdom teeth remove, he just give me a shot to numb around my gums and basically took a screwdriver and popped one right out. Then a week later, he did the second one.

The first one was hell, cause I got a dry socket. But, the second one was a breeze. And it felt so good having them gone. But, to remove my bottom ones, he said my jaw would have to be broken, pulled out, wisdom teeth taken out and my jaw then rewired. I told him no way. I'll put up with the pain then have my jaw broken.
