Dentist wisdon tooth?

i just had my first appoinment to see the oral dentist about my wisdon tooth in my local hospital do any one know do they take it out on the first visit

Dentist wisdon tooth?
i have 2 wisdom teeth and iv had no problem with them

so i would say if you have no problem with them leave them where they are

and if you do have major problems with it let them take it away.

Some people do have problem with them when they first break through as the skin over the top forms a flap and food can get under this and then cause an infection but this is sorted by antibiotics i had this problem

but now they are fine and i still have them both
Reply:You know what if they offer to take it out just do it. It'll be the best thing if it is causing you discomfort. It depends though how deep the wisdom tooth is and whether they need to give you an anaesthetic - if so you might have to go back!!
Reply:no they usually book an appointment but if its not hurting you it doesnt have to be removed
Reply:No theres a super high chance they will not. Unless its like completely out they should not. Probably a 99% chance they wont. So be prepared to make an other appointment. And you will probably be unable to do much for the next couple of days. For myself after I had mine out the next 4 days were not so much fun. Then it took a week after that to be back to normal.
Reply:I recently had all four removed. It was very painful. I guess it depends on the person though. My dentist started by giving me some "laughing gas", which basically involved him farting in my face and him laughing....not funny. Then, he gave me 17 novacaine shots in my gums, teeth, tongue and eyelids.

Although I appeared to be "out", I was still very much awake as I watched him attach a small rope to each tooth and the other end of the rope to his pick-up truck outside. He gave a signal to the dental assistant and she slammed on the gas. After three tries, all four teeth came out. He filled in the holes with Silly Putty, sewed them up, gave me a six pack of Bud and sent me home. I reccomend doing your homework before choosing a dentist. Make sure they have some sort of degree and all their fingers. Good luck, let me know how it goes!
